A Word From Our Chairman
At the beginning of 2014, the Federation of Local Authorities in Israel (FLAI) embarked on a new road. During the last three years we have been working to greatly improve collaboration and cooperation between all local authorities with their various characteristics; large, medium and small, Jewish, Arab, Druze, Bedouin, Circassian, orthodox and secular, from the center to the periphery. By doing so, we are able to work more efficiently which enables us to successfully promote our goals.
The local authorities are responsible for all aspects of daily life for all Israeli citizens: education, welfare, culture, youth, budgets, transport, planning, construction and more.
The Federation of Local Authorities unites all local authorities in Israel so that they may regard it as both a home and a representative entity, which acts as a source of influence that represents all local authorities vis-à-vis the central government and government offices. We will continue to work to improve all aspects of life for Israel’s citizens.
