The Economics Division oversees financial, economic, and budgetary matters that impact local authorities across Israel. It represents municipalities and local councils in discussions with the central government, the Knesset, regulatory bodies, and key financial institutions.

The division plays a central role in:

  • Advocating for fair fiscal policies and budget allocations
  • Supporting municipalities with financial planning and economic strategy
  • Providing tools, guidance, and resources to improve local financial management
  • Promoting policies that enhance the economic independence and sustainability of local authorities
