The municipal department deals with a variety of municipal issues that are before the authorities and residents of the State of Israel in all sectors and throughout the country. The professionals accompany the local authorities in all their day-to-day affairs, serve as a liaison arm between the center and the heads of the authorities, advise them and listen to the problems that arise from the field in order to assist in resolving and mediating with the relevant government ministries.

The department conducts control and monitoring of the needs of the authorities and coordinates the unique programs for the various sectors and works to promote them both within designated forums of the heads of the authorities and in the Knesset and government ministries.
