As part of the commitment to building a better future for all residents, the Federation of Local Authorities in Israel actively promotes the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2030.

Local authorities play a crucial role in advancing the SDGs, as they work directly in areas such as education, health, infrastructure, environmental protection, equality, and social welfare—core components of the global agenda. Their close connection to communities positions them as key drivers of sustainable development on the ground.

The Federation works to strengthen awareness of the SDGs among municipalities and highlights how their day-to-day operations align with these global goals. By integrating the SDGs into local planning and policy, Israeli authorities contribute meaningfully to this international effort.
